Daylight strikes my cave windows
When my incense smokes its demise
As I close my indolent prose
For poetry no less the wise
Disguised for failures no one knows
But God in heaven may surmise.
My heart is filled with falting praise,
Yet stumbling, and pursuing Him
My hymn continues. Life and days
All dedicated now though slim
To worship; and to that alone
My life in Christ alone, arise.
